As I was so frustrated that I had not yet received my product, I googled about Koovs complaints and found out some email ids which people had posted. I wrote a mail to all these ids, and wow, within 2 hours, I got a call from Koovs. I had never got a call from them before. And to my amazement, he promised me to refund my money within a week, and not only refund, but also courier my product. In the evening I received a mail, with an attachment of a screenshot of my refund process. Later, I also got an email from the CEO, who promised me to refund me asap. And yes, finally things worked as they said. I got my refund, as well as my product.... I am super happy. I booked a courier by Overnite Express from Noida to South Ex-1, New Delhi. I had to send some legal documents to my lawyer. The courier was supposed to reach South Ex the next day but Overnite mis-routed it and sent it to another office. As a result it got delayed further. On asking they said it will be delivered on 3rd day. On asking again they said they could not locate the address and the courier is back in their office. When asked why could the delivery boy not call the telephone number and ask the location of my lawyer's office, they had no answer. I asked them to tell me in which branch off Overnite my courier kept. They took 3 hours to locate it and then gave me a mobile number. On asking the address of the branch they said they don't know the address as it is very difficult to keep the address of all the branches. That is ridiculous. I tried calling the number they gave me a number of times but there was no answer. That is then I decided to hire Akosha.I have been following Akosha on twitter for quite sometime so I instantly thought of them.Avinash was very helpful and he did not even charge for the service. He made sure he contact higher ups in the company and tell them about my plight.He kept me updated minimum 2 times everyday. I was actually very relieved that atleast there is someone who is there to listen to my plight.Since, Akosha is founded by lawyers probably the higher ups in Overnite took the matter very seriously and made sure that my courier gets delivered soon.Akosha is a breath of fresh air in India where we have a "chalta hai" attitude and where customer service is appalling. I bought a Gateway laptop from a Staples outlet. I was not told that it has no service network in India, nor that parts will have to be shipped from Taiwan in case anything needs replacement. In fact they sold me an extended warranty to give me “assured service”. Within 2 months it started giving me trouble. When I took it to the service center for the 2nd time within 3 months, I realised I had a dud on my hands. For 6 weeks, I was continuously following up, and nobody would attend to my calls nor answer when my laptop will be repaired. I was reluctant to go to consumer court because I thought I may be inviting more trouble and hassles.
When I went online to register a complaint in the consumer court, I came across Akosha’s name. I took a chance. I said what the heck, I have already been fooled by a multinational company, what more do I have to lose?
I was amazed at the speed of their response, within 2 minutes of logging my complaint, I got a call from them. Their team called me to explain the procedure, before they initiated it and they KEPT THEIR WORD. Within 48 hours, their process had been completed and within an hour of their call going to Acer, distributors for Gateway, I got a call from Acer customer care, saying they will replace my laptop within 3 DAYS.
While I am very grateful to Akosha for helping me get my laptop back, I am glad there is Akosha to remind companies about their accountability to the CUSTOMER. From them I certainly got SERVICE.
