Within a week complaint against Big Bazaar resolved!
Thanks to Akosha, my complaint against Big Bazaar was satisfactorily resolved within a week.
I had purchased an Evita 3 Door Wardrobe for Rs. 24,009 along with other furniture from Big Bazaar at Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj on 8-Mar-2012.The furniture was delivered on 25-Mar-12 and all 3 doors of this wardrobe were scratched and chipped from inside.
After repeated follow ups when Big Bazaar did nothing to repair or replace the defective piece i complained to Akosha. They took up the issue with Big Bazaar customer care and they send their manager who came along with a technician and repaired the defects to my satisfaction.
I had found out about Akosha thru the net and they were helping me file another complaint against non payment of mediclaim by United India in the Consumer Court, hence i decided to approach them for this complaint as well. Thanks for your help, Akosha.
Complaint Description
I had purchased an Evita 3 Door Wardrobe for Rs. 24,009 (Invoice No. Tr : 22304, Receipt No. 0004428) along with other furniture from Big Bazaar at Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj on 8-Mar-2012. The Deal was handled by Mr. Kazim Hussain (ADM - Furniture, cell no. 7428890738 and e-mail ID kazim.hussain@futuregroup.in). The furniture was delivered on 25-Mar-12 and all 3 doors of this wardrobe were scratched and chipped from inside. I called the ADM - Furniture Mr. Kazim, but he did not take my call. The very next day, i went to the store looking for him, but he was on leave. I had taken pictures of the damaged wardrobe in my cell and the staff agreed that it was badly damaged and needed replacement. The staff called Kazim on his cell and made me speak with him. He asked me to mail the pictures and he promised to have the wardrobe replaced asap. I mailed it to him the same day and followed up with a call. He said he had seen the pictures and he might send someone and come himself to inspect the damaged wardrobe. However he did not come. After that the whole of April, he kept saying that he would come but did not. End of April i was frustrated and called him a final time, but he said he was busy with a promotional sale on 1st May and would take it up after that. I called on 2nd May and he said he was geting promoted and was moving to Big Bazaar Vasant Square Mall, Vasant Kunj but he would make sure my wardrobe was replaced. He told me to send a mail stating that he had sent someone to repair and touchup the furniture, but i was not satisfied and wanted a replacement. I was suspicious of the reason for asking me to write a false mail, so i refused. I then met him at Vasant Sqaure Mall Big Bazaar on 3rd May and he promised he would come on Saturday, 5th May to my house to check the furniture and have it replaced ASAP. As expected, he made an excuse and said he would come on 6th May (Sunday). Today i called him and again he made an excuse. I am fed up with his behaviour and callous attitude. Surprisingly Big Bazaar is promoting such people. Please raise this with them ASAP. This is my 3rd complaint with Akosha. The first free service complaint was against Samsung. Unfortunately i got no response from Samsung. The second paid complaint (Rs. 999/-) was against United India, but even they never responded, and i am hoping to go to the consumer court with your help. This is my 3rd complaint. I am hoping that you are successful and so am I. I really want sites like you to succeed as so many companies take the consumer for a ride in India. Regards, Shantanu 981****527
