I am Chetan, a proud Akosha customer - my Nikon complaint resolved

I use NIKON DSLR D7000, which my parents had gifted me. After over a month my camera showed some black spots in its viewfinder,which was causing the menace while making compositions. I tried to clean them,but the problem worsened,it had damaged my viewfinder. i sent it to the nikon service center in mumbai for the fixing the problem.i confessed them that the damage was outcome of my mistake so I m ready to bear the cost of replacement. They suggested me to replace the part.i sent my camera to mumbai through a collection center in nagpur.they received my camera and kept it with them for 1 month 10 days and when I received my camera back they took the cost from me and didnt even replace the part. This had made meloose my mind, i decided to maintain the cool and sent my camera once again
to mumbai for fixing the problem, for the second time they solved the basic problem but created 4 to 5 new problems, this had led to the mental frustration and couldnt even think what to do,because camera was expensive and was purchased with the hard earned money only because it would hon my photography skills.

Then my friend Mr.Tarique Sani, an ace photographer from nagpur suggested me about Akosha. I first visited AKOSHA website and also studied about consumer law as legal proceedings would take a longer time, I decided to take AKOSHA's help.

I registered my complain against NIKON with AKOSHA at 12 noon. Himani, from AKOSHA called me at 3.00pm, I was surprised looking at the fast response from AKOSHA,they noted all the details about what actually happened, took a note of the problem and co-ordinated me accordingly.

AKOSHA people kept me updated with each and every activity, they even attended my queries then and there without making any fuss. 

The managing director of NIKON was directly contacted and was given the note of the problem as soon as AKOSHA came to picture, NIKON head office,Gurgaon co-ordinated me solving my problem and restore my camera to the original condition. I went to mumbai on my own expenses to get beloved
camera fixed. The NIKON people in Mumbai treated me like VIP and made it a point that i get my camera fixed with no further delays,they fixed mycamera and restored it to the original condition within 3 hours.

I strongly recommend AKOSHA to all the people who face such mental agony because of the various brands, leave it to AKOSHA and your work there is done. 

AKOSHA team please keep doing the same and help all the grieved customers and make them happy.

Complaint Description

i had sent my camera at a nikon authorised service center in mumbai because my camera had viewfinder problem which was the outcome of my own mistake.nikon service center advised me to replace the prism box of my camera which would solve the problem totally.i had already confessed that this was outcome of my mistake and im ready to pay for the part replacement,even though my camera was in warranty. i sent my camera first to nikon service center in mumbai (marol naka) on 1st aug,they received my camera on 9th aug.they assured me that they replace the part and sent the camera back within 20 days.this whole procedure took a time of 1 month and 10days. i received my camera back on 10th sep. when checked my camera the part wasent replaced atall,instead service center personnels including the manager kept on saying that we have replaced the part and replaced part i with me right now.they lieing. i talked to them they said that there might be some misunderstanding,you send your back to us we will check and return it to you in 15 days,but this procedure again took the time of 15 -20 days. i received my camera back again on 29 sep.and i see that basic problem was solved but there were new 4 problems added.they did not add the information display in my viewfinder,which has rendered mu camera almost useless.they have changed the original accessory of camera.my camera is not autofoccusing .they have misplaced a small lens alligning mark on my camera body.this procedure almost took the time of 2 months this has wasted a lot of my time.even after so much long time there was no positive and a satisfactory outcome.i had a talk with the manager there,and im going there in person to fix all the problems of camera.i will be going to service center on 11th of october.service center is not taking up the responsibilities given to them properly,and they are causing the loss to expensive gadgets of customers like toys.this practise is now totally intolerable.and i wont leave any stone unturned to solve the problem in camera because i have paid fpor it and they havent given satisfactoy returns.please i need your support so that i can get the results.hoping to listen from u soon.
