Complaint against Makemytrip resolved!
I lodged a complaint against makemytrip.com with Akosha. Within a short span of time, Akosha started its job diligently and assiduously. The complaint against makemytrip.com was that it failed to inform me about the cancellation of a flight I booked. Due to its negligence, I had to pay exorbitantly high charges for booking a new flight. My grievance was well taken care of by Akosha.
I learnt about Akosha from a friend. After paying a very nominal fee and completing little technicalities, Akosha started its job. Quickly I realized that the representatives of Akosha are very polite and sincere. They conversed with me in a very aplomb and humble fashion. They listened to my grievances carefully and suggested accordingly from time-to-time. Moreover, they called me themselves whenever it was required. And, whenever I had to talk to them I just mailed them to call me as soon as possible and interestingly they use to call me immediately. They kept me updated about any developments during the negotiation with the opposite party.
Akosha negotiated the matter with makemytrip.com very sincerely and kept me updated about it. After, a lot of telephonic and e- conversation with me and makemytrip.com, Akosha helped me to settle down with a certain amount of compensation. Earlier, makemytrip.com was not ready with what I had demanded as a compensation but Akosha with its persistent negotiations and conversations helped us to reach an amicable solution, i.e., an amount which both I and makemytrip.com consented to be given as compensation to me.
I recommend the services of Akosha to all people having grievances against companies and who want to resolve the dispute amicably, peacefully, quickly and without going through the cumbersome, tiring, costlier process of litigation. Complaint Description
I booked a Kingfisher Red (IT-3636) flight on 27th January 2012 to fly from Lucknow to Ahmedabad on March 12, 2012 through Makemytrip.com. On 9th February 2012, I got an e-mail from Makemytrip.com that the aforementioned flight has been delayed and has been rescheduled at 19.30hrs from 18.40hrs. Since then there was not any correspondence between me and Makemytrip.com or Kingfisher Red Airlines. Now on 12th March 2012, which was the date of flight I reached Lucknow and before going to the Airport I inquired from the Kingfisher Airlines and Makemytrip.com from where I learnt that the connecting flight which was from New Delhi to Ahmedabad has been cancelled because the Kingfisher Airlines have stopped their services in Ahmedabad. Now, in this fix I asked both of them as to help me out as I had classes to attend the next day and it was very crucial for me. I called them more than 100 times but they were too busy to pick up my innumerable calls. Then I went to the Kingfisher office in Lucknow for the negotiation. There I asked them to drop me till New Delhi and to pay me the refund for New Delhi to Ahmedabad flight which had been cancelled. But to my utter disappointment, they told me that if I wanted the refund they can give me the total refund and I would not be travelling with them till New Delhi also. In such a scenario I had to forgo my refund amount (fare from New Delhi to Ahmedabad) and I had to book another flight from New Delhi to Ahmedabad which costed me 5800 bucks. If I would have taken the total refund and would not have flown till Delhi then I would have to pay heavily for Lucknow to New Delhi flight. If they would have intimated me about the situation earlier then I would have made suitable arrangements beforehand and it would not have costed me such exorbitantly. Now there obviously is negligence on their part and also violation of contractual obligations. Please do get back to me and kindly tell how can u feciliate the process to get compensation.
