I had applied for an Airtel broadband connection in late January. I was told that it would all be setup within 7 days. The rep came and took Rs 1400 from me as per my plan of choice. After 10 days I get a call stating that they don't have infrastructure to provide internet services in my area!! I raised a ticket regarding my refund but after numerous calls, no one was giving any prompt reply.
As I was googling on where to file an online consumer complaint, I stumbled upon Akosha.I registered and after that it was made sure by the Akosha team that my problem in resolved in due time. After battling with the Airtel's 'customer care' reps for more than a month. I finally got the issue resolved in less than 15 days all thanks to Akosha.
I highly recommend anyone whose unhappy with the excuses and inaction of any firms 'customer care' to contact Akosha and live in peace thereafter :)
Complaint DescriptionI called up Airtel for a fixed line broadband connection. They sent their agent ,he came I filled up the form, he took Rs 1600 (1400 for my plan and 200 for some paper work) .After 10 days I call up the guy and he says to call up his manager.I call up the manager he says that airtel doesnt have the infrastructure in my area!!! I raised a request to cancel my application and get a refund.I raised the ticket on 22nd march and it was due to resolve within 10 days. Its been over a month now. Now if I call ,they say to raise another ticket for the delay cause by them!!! And that too cant be raised because their "application is down today". This has caused a great inconvenience to me.I didnt bother about the 200 Rs , as the Airtel rep said its not refundable. But taking more than 1 month for a 10 day work is representing a very poor customer service.Kindly take this issue with urgency,
